    • I was born and raised in India where the temperatures average 15°C in the winter. Arriving in Canada in January 2020 was quite the surprise as I found myself thrust into the frigid depths of Edmonton, Alberta, where temperatures plummeted to a bone-chilling -40°C.
    • The ongoing pursuit to master the art of skiing has become an amusing yet challenging endeavor. In this quest, I am strategically transitioning my focus towards becoming a proficient snowboarding enthusiast, recognizing the thrill and versatility this sport offers.
    • Interacting socially is something I truly cherish. The opportunity to connect with people is a genuine privilege in my eyes, as I hold the belief that the unity found in humanity is unparalleled.

Fun Facts/Personal tidbits

  • I enjoy all the boardings. In the warmer seasons, I spend a lot of my free time on my electric longboard and in the winter, I try to plan as many adventures to the mountains as possible. My most visited resort so far is Lake Louise and I plan on maintaining their season pass as long as possible to try and one day explore all 4200 acres.
  • My computer passion initially started from a video game addiction. I spent a lot of time gaming (some of it at a professional / competitive level before fully committing to a career in IT).
  • My family is from Pakistan, but I was born and raised here in Edmonton, Alberta. English is my primary language, but I am also fluent in Urdu / Hindi.

Experience highlights and special skills:

  • In my time working in help desk, I have consistently averaged the highest ticket closure rate. I also have a typing speed of 160-170 WPM.
  • My previous IT experience has been very extensive so far, which has allowed me to learn a lot in a very short amount of time. I have emulated DOS based programs on Windows 10 to allow large scale machinery to function on modern systems, performed large scale computer deployments, created automation scripts for software deployment and registry fixes, worked full time in the field as well as full time from home.
